Because it is made of natural, biodegradable materials, it is home-compostable at the end of its useful life. Only the elastic band needs to be trashed, the rest is compostable. Make sure the elastic fits over the edge of the dish or bowl, to ensure the cover stays in place. Hand wash or machine wash with similar colours, using a mild detergent. Air dry. Store in a dry place.
