Olive oil is very similar to the natural sebum (oil) that your skin secretes. Because of the close similarity, olive oil is a great choice for oil-pulling, which dissolves impurities found in your skin’s pores, and pull it out. When you rinse, these impurities are flushed away. In addition, it is also a good moisturiser, rehydrating dry skin. Honey has a pH of 4.5 which falls within the skin’s natural and healthy pH range. It also contains sugar and lavender buds, for a gentle exfoliating action, getting rid of old and dead skin cells, to make way for growth of newer, healthy cells, giving your skin a radiant, healthy and nurtured appearance.
