Helps reduce pressure points and hot spots by distributing load more evenly. At Home Hair-Dryer Method Remove the factory liners from your shoes and use them as a trimming template if needed. Leave the Formthotics about 8 mm longer to accommodate the heel cup curve. Place the Formthotics inside the shoes. Use a good-quality hair dryer to heat each insole in the shoe for about 3 minutes in total, alternating between shoes every 30 seconds until the foam feels soft. Put shoes on immediately (with socks), lace up, and stand hip-width with knees slightly bent for 1 minute so the insoles set in a neutral position. Begin with short wear periods for the first few days and increase as comfortable. Safety & Practical Tips Do not use a microwave or oven. Use a dedicated heater or the hair-dryer method only. Mould them in the shoes you plan to wear; very different shoe shapes may require re-moulding. If you trim, re-check toe clearance and arch contact after moulding. Minor re-moulds are possible.
