Description Finally! An affordable, durable, biodegradable alternative to those nylon shower puffs that need to be replaced every 2 months! Long-lasting, natural and just as effective… minus the landfill downside of nylon shower sponges that are not recyclable at all. The crochet weave helps with foaming action (unlike towelling weave wash cloths). It has a soft texture, suitable for soft or sensitive skin types. Two parallel edges are machine-overlocked to prevent fraying and unravelling. Can also be used as a dish cloth for very fragile glassware or crystal-ware. At the end of it’s long life, you can safely home-compost it, since it’s made of pure unbleached natural cotton – alternatively recycle it with other cotton textiles. No toxic chemicals leached into your compost or waterways! Affordable sustainability… at last! Directions for use: Wet the cloth with warm water. Rub soap or body wash on it (a little goes a long way, as the air pockets in the crochet weave encourages foaming). Rub it gently over your body for soft massaging cleaning action, or rub harder for a more intense exfoliation. Be gentle around sensitive areas. Air dry after use to prolong its life. Sanitise it once a week by washing it in the laundry, or boiling it in water on the stove for 10 minutes, or microwaving it on high for 30 seconds. (This sanitation should also be applied once a week to nylon shower sponges to eliminate bacterial growth, but it is a lesser known fact.)
