Description The Ecoelephant vegan deodorant bar combines the best of all the worlds, and best of all, it keeps you smelling fresh all day long! Notably, it does not contain aluminium particles, that are used in commercial antiperspirants to block sweat pores and absorbed into the skin and mammary glands, and has been linked in several studies to increased risk of breast cancer (in women and men). Blocking sweat pores is also very harmful to the lymphatic system, because sweating is a mechanism the body uses to detox itself of harmful chemicals – preventing sweat through antiperspirants leads to a build-up of toxic chemicals in your body. Many natural deodorants that aim to eliminate aluminium uses bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) as active ingredient to absorb sweat and eliminate bad odours. While this works for the stated purpose, it can unfortunately cause rashes to people with sensitive skin. It also often uses beeswax to provide a paste-like consistency, therefore not suitable for vegans.
