Description This is a fantastic budget option for a natural face mask, that comes in powder form. With kaolin clay, moringa and tea tree oil, it is balancing and gently cleansing, ideal for normal to combination skin types. Because it is a powder, you can mix a little bit at a time with your choice of liquid. It can be blended with either a water-based solution or an oil-based solution. An oil-based solution has the added benefit of oil-pulling! I.e. the oil flushes into your pores, where natural sebum and common oil-solluble skin pollutants are absorbed by the oil, and afterwards washed away with soap and water. For liquid options – Some great water-based choices are plain water, rose water, apple cider vinegar, luke-warm green tea, rooibos tea, etc. For oil-based options – Think olive oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, or any other skin-loving oil of your choice. Remember to wash an oil-based mask-blend off with soap and rinse thoroughly, to prevent build-up of oil. An added benefit of a powder mask is that you can store it for a very long time, without needing any preservatives, and you only use a tiny little bit at a time, stretching your rands further. Also, powders can easily be refilled (nudge-nudge wink-wink… coming soon…) Directions for use: Use a teaspoon to scoop out a small amount of powder into your palm, then mix with a skin-friendly liquid, either water-based or oil-based. Use only enough liquid to form a paste of desired consistency, enough for one mask application (discard any blended mix over and above what you need for one application). Examples of mixing liquid include plain water, apple cider vinegar, green tea, rooibos tea, olive oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, etc. Using your hands or a brush, spread the mask over your face, avoiding the eye area and lips. Leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes. If using an oil-based solution, wash with soapy water and then rinse. If using a water-based solution, rinse off with water and optionally wash with soap before rinsing.
