It leaves a thin protective film that increases tape traction, helps reduce edge lift, and may lessen minor skin irritation on removal when used as directed. Tensospray is intended to support standard taping techniques rather than replace them, and is best paired with appropriate tape selection and sound application practices. Key Points For use before taping on clean, dry, unbroken skin to enhance adhesion and consistency of fixation. Compatible with pre-wrap, rigid strapping tape, kinesiology/Kinesio tape, and elastic adhesive bandages. Forms a transparent, quick-drying film that allows normal taping over the top without altering tape tension. If you have sensitive skin, perform a small patch test first and avoid contact with eyes, mucosa, or irritated areas. Important: Tensospray is not a wound dressing and must not be used on cuts, abrasions, or broken/irritated skin. It is a flammable aerosol—use in a well-ventilated area, keep away from heat/flame, and avoid intentional inhalation. Discontinue use if redness, itching, or discomfort occurs, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions at all times. When to Use an Adhesive Spray Use: To prepare intact skin for improved tape adhesion in sport, exercise, or therapeutic taping where slippage has been an issue. Do not use: As a barrier over minor wounds or to “speed healing.” For wound coverage, choose a product specifically indicated as a spray-on film dressing and follow its Instructions for Use. Application Tips for Using Tensospray Adhesive Spray Clean and thoroughly dry the skin; remove oils, lotions, and excess hair where practical. Spray a light, even coat, allow 30–60 seconds to dry, then apply tape with appropriate tension. Reapply to high-friction or high-perspiration areas as needed, avoiding oversaturation. How We Use It at Sydney Physio Clinic Our team uses Tensospray daily to improve adhesion of rigid and elastic taping in clinical practice. It is particularly helpful when: Managing heavy perspiration (e.g., athletes or hot/humid conditions) and areas where tape lift is common. Tape needs to adhere after topical creams (e.g., pain-relieving or massage creams) have been applied. Ideally skin should be degreased first, but when time is limited, Tensospray can assist adhesion. Mid-match or on-field applications where thorough washing/drying isn’t feasible and rapid, reliable adhesion is required. Note: Best results still come from proper skin preparation (clean, dry skin).
